Sturgis Pictures 2002 part 2

Summary

Airbrush Action's most enthusiastic third visit to Sturgis in August 2002 proved to be our best visit yet. With an estimated 450,000 bikers in attendance, the 62nd annual motorcycle rally in the Black Hills of South Dakota drew more mind-blowing paint jobs than ever. With the booming success of Jesse James and West Coast Choppers, we witnessed a surging demand for custom motorcycles and paint jobs. The trend is shifting away from the Harley craze, focusing more and more on bikers' quests for individualism. From what we saw, more people are making bolder statements with their bikes of choice. We got the sense that standard paint jobs are becoming the "red-headed stepchildren" of the biker culture. This expanded gallery of custom tanks is living proof that the modern biker gets savvier and more discerning with each year.
